Biography
Born in Hattiesburg, MS, I started my musical interest at the age of 9 thru the keyboard complete with a self teaching video package. I didn't start playing the saxophone until my junior high school years. It was at this moment that I took an interest in jazz. Starting as a clarinet player, I quickly switched to saxophone interested in developing the sounds of Kenny G. As my musical interest grew, I decided to join the school jazz band which had just been created by Dr. David Wright. I would stay in this jazz band throughout my grade school years. Once in college, I took up music education as my craft of interest. I shortly realized that I had a true love for jazz which led to me switching to and graduating with a degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Studies on December 2007 under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Lawrence Gwozdz, Director of Saxophone Studies and Larry Panella, Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi.

I have played and sat in with numerous ensembles including USM Jazz Lab and the USM Jazz Sextet both headed by Larry Panella, the Hattiesburg Civil Light Orchestra, the Southern Opera and Musical Theatre Company of USM, Tree Logic, T-Bone Pruitt, The Method, West Point Baptist Church Music Ministry, and Mount Carmel Baptist Church Music Ministry. I have also played for several events including but not limited to the Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast, the Grease production held by HCLO, the Guys and Dolls production held by Southern Opera and Theatre Company, and the Alcorn State University Jazz Festival. held each year in Hattiesburg, As of now, I'm just an freelance saxophonist and private instructor.
